With A Cherry On Top

Also had great fun working this landscape - I need to take another look at it tomorrow in the daylight as I think it needs some tweaking.

Its a very long time since I have done a landscape - I think this is the first in around 3 years. Landscapes were my first love in painting and painting this reminded me of that. Two of my favourite artists are Diebenkorn and Wayne Thiebaud. I love Diebenkorn's abstract landscape Ocean Park series. And Wayne Thiebaud paints deliciously coloured landscapes (he also paints cakes and pies!)

the cupcake sure looks yummy but that landscape looks even yummier to me. very impressionistic! i like this style, Anita! IMO, i'd explore it more often if i were you.

I'm coming to your house cause you have all the yummy desserts!

The cupcake looks delicious and I love that pointillism effect in the landscape.

Billie - the landscape demanded this kind of style - not sure if I would use it everywhere. Fun though!

Jeanette - you would be very welcome but the desserts are usually pretty stale and horrible by the time I have finished with them! I love the pointillists especially Seurat.

You should have been around last night... I had a chocolate fudge sundae with a cherry on it. Not sure I would have waited until you painted it though.

Love the glow on the tree. Fun diversion. Pretty colors throughout.

It's a landscape in which to eat pink cupcakes with cherries on top. Magic. Also reminds me a little of a Monet I saw the other day. Now I want to try it.

You are breaking free in a most delicious way, Anita!

I would never have believed your exact attention to detail would allow you to paint an impressionist style landscape.
Once again I am amazed at your talent.
Love Ya! :-)
