Lovely light in this sketch, Anita. And the same goes for so many of these sketches. I can't wait for the paintings. Are they going to be oils? Hope you are enjoying life in the desert. I loved the photographs.

Such a rich variety of values and patterns! This makes me think of old movies like "Casablanca" - there is a similar aura of mystic. I want to know who or what is just out of sight around the corner!

Robyn - yes oils eventually, got to do large charcoals first though - when my paper eventually arrives! Life in the desert is em.......different!

Jeanette - thank you - its the light that captures my imagination every time.

Bonny - Not quite Casablanca but almost as exotic - what is around the corner - sand and lots of it!

Robin - thank you!

Hi Anita! I am finally commenting-though I have mostly followed along silently. Such great tonal values you achieved here! This is most lovely!

Hey Anita ... has that desert sand swallowed you up? I hope not! Beautiful photos and your drawings of course. Thinking of you. :)
