Lovely light in this sketch, Anita. And the same goes for so many of these sketches. I can't wait for the paintings. Are they going to be oils? Hope you are enjoying life in the desert. I loved the photographs.ciaorobyn
This is fabulous Anita! I love the patterns of light.
Such a rich variety of values and patterns! This makes me think of old movies like "Casablanca" - there is a similar aura of mystic. I want to know who or what is just out of sight around the corner!
you hit a home run
Robyn - yes oils eventually, got to do large charcoals first though - when my paper eventually arrives! Life in the desert is em.......different!Jeanette - thank you - its the light that captures my imagination every time.Bonny - Not quite Casablanca but almost as exotic - what is around the corner - sand and lots of it!Robin - thank you!
Anita sorry I have been slow visiting blogs but as usual it is a treat to see your work and I happy to see you drawing again.
I love the drawing and the quotes :)
i know you'll be working with charcoal but i can't wait until you tackle watercolor. do you still plan to? i sure hope so! i don't want to be in this alone.
Hi Anita! I am finally commenting-though I have mostly followed along silently. Such great tonal values you achieved here! This is most lovely!
these are gorgeous sketches Anita and I love your way with light and composition.
Anita - now I've got my images sorted and I'm looking for your wonderful drawings - where are you?
Hey Anita ... has that desert sand swallowed you up? I hope not! Beautiful photos and your drawings of course. Thinking of you. :)
