March's offering to the portrait group to which I belong is a portrait of Jeanette, wonderful and talented artist, printmaker and maker of delicious jewellery. Not sure how much more I will do to this, maybe a little tweaking. Seeing it here I wonder if I have her nose at the right angle. Trying to decide if I might experiment a little and try a watercolour version.
Spring is well underway here in Pakistan - I'm taking my camera with me tomorrow to take pictures of the lovely flowers and blossom that is bursting out all over. I even have sweet peas flowering in my garden which seems very odd to me as in England they are a summer flower. The bottle brush trees are starting to bloom and I expect that next week they will be totally covered in flowers.

Fabulous work Anita. You've made me look quite sedate :) Your portraits are always so good.
I haven't got the photo here so can't compare, but is the left side of the mouth a little short in the drawing? That may be what's making you think the nose is off a bit.
Do try a watercolour, that would be great fun.
Spring. Well as I look out the window, the snow is falling. Again. Just after temps went soaring for a few days and melted all the snow we had. I'll look forward to seeing some flowers and sun, even if they are in Pakistan.
Anita, this is lovely. You've given Jeanette such a sense of confidence here...very "moody" for a graphite piece, nicely done.
Anita, I always love your portraits. You definitely have the touch. It does seem to me like the bottom of the face is just a touch too far to the right, but that may be because she is leaning on her hand which is pushing to the right. I do hope you experiment with some watercolor. Have fun with it. :) And can I tell you how jealous I am of your spring flowers! We are still a good month or two away from anything growing here. :(

Rose - Jeanette strikes me as having buckets of self-confidence. Wish she would share it around!
Stacy - Its going to be quite fun doing watercolour. The ref is quite muted so I will get to play with my own colour scheme. Hope Jeanette doesn't mind a multicoloured face!
Billie - isn't it funny how we have got to know each other without actually meeting.
Lisa - some amazing flowers here - you would love to paint them. Lots that I have not seen before. The ranunculus are amazing at the moment.

Excellent portrait Anita! When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was a self-portrait of Jeanette.
I have wondered if the weather in Pakistan is similar to that of Mexico although imagine much more humid than my area.
