Refreshed and Invigorated

Its been too long - but I am freshly returned from rainy Spain and ready to pick up my brushes.

A couple of photos from the trip - I have a passion for doors and windows and this pair from the Bullring in Ronda particularly attracted my attention. Super blue shadows!

The flowers were just from playing with learning how to use my complex camera on manual settings rather than entirely from the automatic ones. Of all the pictures I took of flowers I like this one the most.

Anita, great to see that you are back and ready to pick up your brushes. I'm looking forward to that.

Great pictures! I love the wall with the windows. So Spain!

THe image of the wall with its shadows is wonderful and makes me feel the heat of the sun. The flower macro is lovely and would make a great little colour drawing.

Good to have you back again.

Mary - Andalucia seems to have a little something extra Spanish. The countryside is filled with white villages that cascade down mountainsides. So incredibly beautiful!

Vivien - thank you!

Diane - going to paint too - been away from my brushes for far too long!

Jeanette - That day in Ronda was the first sunny day in a week of rain. Even so, that was a welcome respite from the desert heat.

Glad to hear you've had a break away from the dunes, Anita. Lovely flower photo - I'd be tempted to paint it.

I remember Ronda well - so many nice buildings. That's a little stunner of a photo

Fancy joining in with O'Keeffe Month?
You've got a flower.........and your photo is very reminiscent of the paintings she made of Ghost Ranch
