Making Lemonade

My year started completely on the wrong foot. Resolutions disappeared as fast as they were made as life at work became really hectic and time I had earmarked for art was swallowed up by overtime. OK, so the money is good!

So tomorrow will be the first day of my year and I am determined that this year will be a productive one.

I'd like to say a big thank you to all the people who comment on my blog and keep me going in the down times, bolstering my spirits. I have been extremely flattered by several people whose work I love, who have said some very nice things about my work on other sites. Thank you! To you all, I hope the new year will be filled with wonderful things!

Anita, I love the selection of objects in this and your glass is immpecably rendered. I think you have started your year on the right foot. :)

A great start to the new year :)- here's hoping there's more painting time coming up

You've really caught the light and the objects are beautifully 3D. There's a pensive, slightly melancholy feel to it.

Anita - I don't know why you were holding back on this one. It is wonderful.
You have some incredible memories from your overtime, and perhaps some of that will eek into your art somehow. At least there will now be flowers at the wedding.

You Go Girl! Your future depends on many things, but mostly on you.

Anita, I always love it when I open your blog and you've posted something new. This is lovely with it's reflections and the beautiful play of light on the tea towel.

I'm glad your year has finally started because I'm really looking forward to it.

Anita, nice to see you posting and creating again!! Beautiful work as always. I know all about how life can swallow up art time. But my take on it is, if you always come back to the art, no matter how long you've been away, that's what makes you a success. You only fail when you put it down forever.
