Pastel "Comfort Zone"

Trying to pinpoint the colours in the walls - not sure that these are right yet but an exercise in pastels none the less.

Interesting use of pastels - very effective

Stacy - you mean you got away from the drawing table? Who said you could leave?

Katherine - is is interesting - very much based on the colour nuance and involves a great deal of squinting and concentration!

HI Anita, love the use and style of pastels in this one. I want to curl up on that chair. The other one is oil b&W..is gorgeous too!

I do like the hatching on this Anita. It seems such a non traditional way of using pastels but is so effective.

I know it looks simple, but the reality is always very different.

I love the way you've made the pastels your 'own' too. Thank you for sharing this process, it's fascinating.

Lisa - thank you!

Jeanette - its an interesting method, building the colours in layers from the darkest value up. The colours shimmer through adding an extra dimension.

Robyn - happy to share!
